Is there a way to sample or try a scent before making a purchase?
We do not offer a sample program. The best way to experience our portfolio is to visit a store near you that carries Trapp Fragrances. We have a convenient online store locator to find a retailer near you.
How long will my Trapp candle last?
Approximate burn times are:
8.75 oz. poured candles = 70 hr. burn time
7 oz. poured candles = 50 hr. burn time
3.75 oz. poured candles = 30 hr. burn time
2 oz. votive candles = 15-20 hr. burn time
How do I best use a Trapp votive candle? How long should I burn a larger poured Trapp candle?
Our larger Trapp candles, should be burned 1 hour for each inch in diameter. A poured candle, 3" in diameter, will perform best if burned 3 hours at a time. All Trapp Fragrances poured candles will perform best if burned in 3-4 hour lengths of time and no longer than 4 hours for each burn cycle.

What are your candle wicks made of?
Should my Trapp candle be as fragrant from beginning of use through multiple uses?
It is not unusual for some people to find their favorite fragrance seems to lose some strength. “Nose blindness” or “odor fatigue” is a true phenomenon. Odor fatigue might be observed if you are continually exposed to a scent over a long period of time. You might try moving your favorite scented products from room to room, or rotating several of your favorite fragrances.
What can I do to reduce or limit sooting?
To reduce any sooting be sure to trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn, burn in draft-free areas, and burn the candle for the recommended burn time. Very little soot will be observed after the flame stabilizes (this may take 10 minutes or so).
Fragrance Mist and Diffuser
How do I use a reed diffuser? How do I use a diffuser refill?
Carefully cut the protective seal and remove the cork from the vessel. Remove the twist tie from one bundle of reeds and place the reeds into the diffuser solution. Place your Trapp diffuser on a stable surface, away from children and pets, so that it isn't spilled. Flip the reeds every 6-7 days.
After 4-5 weeks, or when you notice the liquid level hasn't changed in awhile, replace the first set of reeds with the second set.
For the diffuser refill, open bottle and carefully pour contents into a safe glass container. Then follow the directions above.
Can I use the reed diffuser solution in an electric diffuser?

Technical and Safety
Are Trapp candles and melts soy or paraffin wax?
Trapp candles are known for having a bottle of perfume in every candle. 100% soy/vegetable wax will not hold the amount of fragrance used in a Trapp Fragrances candle.
Are your fragrances essential [natural] oils or man-made?
Trapp Fragrances works with only global fragrance houses who are experts in safely designing fragrances for in-home use.
Are Trapp candles safe to use?
Trapp candles are 100% safe to enjoy. It is important to burn all candles within sight, in a well-ventilated space, on a fireproof surface. It is possible some individuals might be sensitive to certain fragrances - if you have a specific concern please contact us.

Backordered items are those which our suppliers are unable to predict when they will have more in stock, but as soon as they do, we will be able to ship the item to you.

How much is my shipping?
Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.

Click the "My Account/Sign in" link at the top right hand side of our site. Under the login box you'll see a link that says "Forgot your password? Click here". That link will send an email to you with your password.
How do I return my product?

If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product.
What is your return policy?
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your order, please contact Customer Service
within 7 days. We are happy to accept returns/exchanges of unopened,
unused products within 7 days of delivery and authorized by Customer Service.
Please allow 5 – 10 business days after receipt of product to process a
refund or ship an exchange. No returns will be accepted without prior
authorization from Customer Service. Customers are responsible for
shipping costs on any returns or exchanges not due to damages in
shipping or incorrect product.
