Important Candle Care Tips

ALWAYS TRIM YOUR WICK TO 1/4” EACH TIME THE CANDLE IS LIT.
This maximizes the burn time of your candle while reducing your chances of soot. Use a sharp wick trimmer or scissors to ensure a clean cut.

Candle Care Trim Your Wick

Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant, flat, stable surface.

Trapp votive candles will liquefy when burning. Always place in snug-fitting candle holder to maintain the original shape of the candle. Trapp votives should not be burned longer than 2 hours at a time.

Follow the instructions regarding how long to burn your candle at a time. Most candles are 4 hours or less but it depends on the size of the candle.

Allow the entire top of your candle to liquefy each time you light your candle — this can take several hours. Candles have a memory — if not allowed to pool completely they can start to tunnel causing excess wax to build up on the edges of the glass.

Don't have a few hours to burn your candle?

Although nothing can replace the ambiance of a lit candle, wax melts can be used to quickly fill your room with fragrance and can be turned on/off whenever you like.

Be sure to burn candles in a well-ventilated room but be sure to keep candles away from drafts and vents. If your candle burns unevenly after trimming and centering the wick, your candle is likely in a draft. We recommend changing location of the candle.

Immediately after extinguishing the candle, use tweezers to keep your wick centered. Never allow a burning wick to touch the glass.

Discontinue use of candle when 1/4” of wax remains to prevent the burning wick from getting too close to the glass.

It's all about the fragrance...

When your Trapp reed diffuser is properly maintained, it will fill your room with fragrance for approximately 45 days.

To maximize your reed diffusers performance follow these simple steps:

  1. Flip your reeds once a week.
    • Rattan reeds are porous and have capillaries- This is how the perfume travels through the reeds and is then diffused when air moves across the fragrance-infused reeds.
    • Liquids can cause the rattan/wood to swell clogging the capillaries which causes less space for the fragrance to travel. Consequently, you will have liquid remaining, but diminished fragrance diffusion.
  2. After 4 to 5 weeks (or sooner if you notice the liquid level hasn't changed in a while), replace the first set of reeds with the second set
    • This will ensure continued enjoyment.

To refill your diffuser, open bottle and carefully pour contents into a safe glass container and follow the steps above.

Placing an online order

How much is my shipping?

Shipping is automatically calculated during the check out process prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you enter your shipping address and select your Shipping Method. Shipping options will have real-time prices listed based on weight.  For orders that include 2-6 items, we offer $4.99 Flat Rate standard (economy) shipping to the contiguous United States. Delivery times are based on the carrier and current demand.  Free shipping applies to orders shipping within the contiguous U.S. totaling $99 or more before discounts are taken and tax is added.

How do I use a coupon?

After adding items to your cart, click the "View Cart" link at the top of this site to view your cart. Then click the "Checkout" button. At the bottom of the subtotal, you'll see a box where you may enter your coupon code.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

As our warehouse is located in Missouri, any and all orders that are shipping to a Missouri address will be charged sales tax.

When will my order ship?

In stock items are estimated to ship within 1-2 business days from the order date.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged within 24 hours prior to shipment of your item(s).

I need a copy of my receipt/invoice.

Order Status

How do I track my order?

My order never arrived. Or is missing an item.

Click the "My Account " link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If you order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.

I received the wrong product.

If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service within 72 hours of receiving the product. You can contact us here.

When will my backorder arrive?

Backordered items are those which our suppliers are unable to predict when they will have more in stock, but as soon as they do, we will be able to ship the item to you.

I have a question on my charges.

Click the "My Account " link at the top right hand side of our site to review your orders. You may compare your order history on our website, with your financial records. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact customer service for further assistance.

Returns

What is your return policy?

We are happy to accept returns/exchanges of unopened, unused products within 7 days of delivery and authorized by Customer Service. No returns will be accepted without prior authorization from Customer Service. Customers are responsible for shipping costs on any returns or exchanges.

How do I return my product?

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your order- Please contact Customer Service.

If your package arrives damaged or you received incorrect product within 7 days of shipment.

We continually work hard to improve our packing and shipping procedures. Please do not destroy or dispose of any product unless authorized by Customer Service. Photos of your damages may be requested.

When will my credit appear on my account?

Credits can take up to 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).

Holiday Shipping

Please understand that parcel carriers experience extremely high volumes during the holiday season. Typical transit times are 2 - 5 business days within the continental U.S., but those times may increase as we near the holidays.

Candles & Melts

Are Trapp candles and melts soy or paraffin wax?

Trapp candles are known for having a bottle of perfume in every candle. 100% soy/vegetable wax will not hold the amount of fragrance used in a Trapp Fragrances candle. Our candles and melts are a blend of soy wax and fully-refined, food-grade paraffin wax.

Are your fragrances essential [natural] oils or man-made?

Trapp Fragrances works with only global fragrance houses who are experts in safely designing fragrances for in-home use. Our fragrances are designed to have a blend of natural ingredients, essential oils and man-made ingredients to optimize product performance.

What ingredients are in a Trapp home fragrance mist?

All Trapp home fragrance mists contain these ingredients:
water, surfactant, alcohol, and perfume oil.

What surfaces may I treat with the home fragrance mist?

Trapp home fragrance mists may be used anywhere you need fragrance, but should be sprayed into the air. Avoid spraying directly onto surfaces, fabrics, body or near eyes.

Can I use any wax melts in my Trapp melt warmer?

The Trapp melt warmer was designed to provide optimal performance for the size and shape of Trapp Wax Melts, however, the warmer is compatible with all wax melts regardless of brand.

Can I use essential oils in my Trapp melt warmer?

The Trapp melt warmer was specifically designed with the intended use of melting wax. We do not recommend the use of essential oils with this product.

Can I purchase the silicone dish separately?

Our original silicone warmer dish is not sold separately at this time, however our Divided Dish is available for purchase separately.

Experiencing flaking wax on your silicone dish?

Silicone is a slightly porous material which can allow a small amount of wax to flake on the underside of the dish. This will not affect the performance of the melter and can be wiped away with soft, dry cloth when wax and unit are cool.

How long is the power cord?

The power cord is 3.5 feet long.
